Indoor Camping + a Yummy Treat

Indoor Camping Blog Picture

Hello Spring! Whilst the sun might be shining bright and early signs of spring are in the air, it's not quite warm enough to pitch a tent and roast some marshmallows outside! With the majority  of our traditional weekend activities currently off the table, it was time to get creative and bring the camping party indoors.

I can’t even tell you how excited the kids were when they heard the idea of camping in the living room. They spent time gathering everything they might need for a campout. Their favourite stuffies, sleeping bags, snacks and even flashlights!

Although our parties don’t look like they used to on a typical Friday night, what we do know is that we will still have some pretty awesome family memories.

Popcorn and Smores

If you ask the kids - I think it’s safe to say that the Smore Popcorn was certainly a highlight!

Here's what you need:

10 cups of Salted Popped Popcorn

3 Cups Mini Marshmallows

1 Cup of Graham Cracker Goldfish Cookies

1 Cup of Chocolate Chips

1 Tbsp Butter

Melt the butter over medium heat, in a saucepan. Add the marshmallows and heat until melted, make sure you stir frequently.

Add the popcorn to a large bowl along with ½ cup of goldfish cookies. Slowly pour the melted marshmallow over the popcorn and give it a mix. Quickly (before the marshmallows start to firm) poor onto a cookie sheet. Sprinkle the chocolate chips, remaining cookies and some extra marshmallows on top.

Allow it to cool, and break into smaller pieces. Enjoy!

Until Next Time,

Keep Partyin'
