All Things Sweet!

Nicole and I had an absolute blast designing the “Sweets and Treats” Party Box. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that this theme was created for our mini me’s in honour of their 4th birthday.

If you have followed our story you’ll know that Nicole and I met at a Mom and Baby group when Piper and Aiden were just wee little things.  Now here we are celebrating another birthday together. They have attended the same daycare for the last few years, so it makes perfect sense to bring everyone together at the same  time to celebrate. They were born just two days apart. This isn’t the first time we have done this. Their 2nd birthdays took place at a local indoor playground with a Mickey/Minnie Mouse theme and just last year we celebrated with the Woodland Adventure Perfect Party in a Box.

The hardest part of planning this year’s party was deciding on what theme to do! We knew we wanted a party that could be gender neutral but holly smokes, we had SO many ideas. When we came across these amazing Bon Bon plates created by Oh Happy Day, we just knew a candy theme was the way to go. This was certainly confirmed when we shared the idea with the kids. Their eyes grew wide with the thoughts of all things candy!

Since their birthday’s fall shortly after Christmas we hadn’t had much time to plan in advance. Luckily we teamed up with some of our favourite people in the industry to help us pull things off. Check out the photos below for details on this party.

We welcomed guests with a jumbo balloon arch (with more then 300 balloons!). Jenny from Lakeside Balloon co was absolutely amazing to work with. The candy balloons were the perfect addition.

The kids were entertained with face painting, balloon twisting, play-dough stations, candy necklace making, arts and crafts, cookie decorating and candy floss. Many of which doubled as their take home gifts.

Since we held the party outside a standard meal time we opted for some healthy snacks. Our attempt at balancing the sugar rush, haha.

But of course we couldn't skip out on the cakes! Each year we choose to have a cake made for both Aiden and Piper. Jocelyn from Hobby Cakes always does an outstanding job and this year was no exception. She transformed our vision into real life, we really couldn't of asked for anything better!

We are already dreaming up next years party, and really hoping the kids let us keep planning their parties for years to come! Stay tuned for some up and coming blog posts on our take home gifts. Did you love this party? The Sweets and Treats Party Box is now available for purchase on our website.
